This is the most lovable way of losing weight according to my understanding.If you really are going to fail following this strategy, then I doubt if there is any strategy that you are going to be able to follow.It is a high fat,moderate protein and extremely low- carb way of losing weight without exercise.
With ketogenic diet you eat almost everything that is nice unlike other conventional ways of losing weight.It is also beneficial in fighting metabolic diseases like sugar diabetes,high blood pressure and high cholesterol.Infact it was initially a cure for epilepsy,for which it still is even today to those cases that are non-responsive to medication.Yes you can eat as much fat as you like with keto.But obviously it has to be healthy fats,it can’t be transfat or animal fat,it has to be plants fats.
With keto diet your body will be using fats as a source of energy instead of carbohydrates.That is what our bodies does when starved of carbohydrates.Therefor there will be no fats to stored.Hence weight loss.
Fats are to be consumed in high quantity,proteins to be consumed in moderation and carbohydrates in very small quantity.
You should eat less than 50 grams of carbs a day,thus starving your body of carbs.Then your body will start burning proteins and fats for energy.In that way you will start loosing weight.That will be around a period of a week.
Moreover,proteins and fats are going to make you feel full for a longer period,which means your food intake is also going to be reduced,also resulting in weight loss.We all know that overeating is one of the causes of obesity and here it is also dealt with, together with issue of fats storage.No wonder ketogenic diet is so effective.It deals with different issues of overweight including water weight,because if you reduce carbs intake you also reduce water retention in the body.

There is also plenty of fruits to be eaten in this diet contrary to what many people think.Many people regard fruits as forbidden in this diet of keto because most of fruits are a source of sugar and carbs respectively but my research shows that there is plenty of fruits that are low on carbs,nevermind the sugar in the fruits because contrary to what people use to know,sugar in the fruits can never be a cause for concern with regard obesity.Infact the opposite is the case,loss of weight.
Also find out about fruits with low-carbs.They are just in front of you to see them.Therefor,don’t be fooled by those who say keto is not healthy because it banishes fruits and veggies as a whole.It does not banishes all the fruits and veggies but only some.Foods to avoid include,rice,grains,sweets,cereals,milk,potatoes,fruits and vegetables in higher-carb,most beans but not all of them.
This is the most scientifically preferred way of losing weight without exercise.Again,not that exercising is forbidden in this regard but just that you can achieve your desired results without exercise.It is infact a natural way of eating for the mediterreneans,but is according to scientific researches a very healthy diet.It is even called a heart-healthy diet.It was therefor not necessarily developed with weight-loss in mind.It is a lifestyle.
However it has a great impact in reducing weight,although not so fast like keto diet, as discussed above.Which starts reducing weight in a week time.In this regard the results might start to be noticed in a year’s time and they are sustainable.This diet has got a lot of health benefits,no-wonder it is staple to two of the five BLUE ZONES.These are areas where according to researches people live longer and have lower rates of diseases.
With mediterrenean diet you also eat almost everything you like.It is mostly based on fruits and veggies.But you still can eat meat and dairy in moderation.Research has shown that mediterrenean diet can make you lose weight more effectively than your typical low-fat diets.In this diet you are to eat:
- a wide variety of vegetables,fruits,and whole grains
- unsaturated/plants fats,such as nuts,seeds and olive oil
- less white and red meat
- less eggs
- red wine in moderation.
- dairy and fish in moderation.
Eating smaller portion sizes of food
Your brain needs enough time to process whether you have eaten enough in order for it to stop you from eating further.Since it has been discovered that one of the major causes of obesity is overeating,it would be wise to tackle overeating when dealing with the issue of weight-loss.Hence a topic,eating smaller portions sizes of food.
How are we going to be able to eat smaller portion sizes of food when we are used to eating larger portion sizes of food?That is the question you are probably asking yourself.Well,one way to do that is simply by chewing slowly when eating.Chewing slowly is going to lead to you eating slowly as well.That is going to give brain enough time to do its work,as explained in the preceding paragraph.
Chewing slowly is also going to help you chew thoroughly which is on its own healthy.Now when you according to your brain have eaten enough,it will tell you to stop eating and by then you will have eaten right amount of food.But if you are going to be eating fast,by the time your brain tells you to stop eating you would have eaten more than you suppose to have eaten.And that is overeating.
Since it might be not easy to chew slowly,I suggest that you go to an extend of counting how many times you chew from each bite,that will certainly help.
Using smaller dishing plates can also help us eat smaller portion sizes of food.Because when you fill up a small plate, it will seem like you have dished up too much when it is actually a plate that is small and not too much food.Once you finish up that dishing you will automatically feel full,because of what your mind will be telling you.Based on what you saw before eating.Obviously this is just to programm your mind,therefor you can’t intentionally work against it.You have to be positive.
Drink water regularly
Drinking water regularly,especially 30 minutes before meal time will have an impact on weight-loss.The reason being that with half a liter of water being drank just before meal time,there will be not enough space for too much food to be taken.Therefor,food intake is lessen and above that,water also boost metabolism by 20-40% over a period of 1-1,5 hours and help burn off a few more calories.
In conclusion I would like to say it is always advisable to take into consideration our health each time we think of shedding some extra fats from our bodies.Because there really are a number of dangerous ways of losing weight out there.So we have to be careful not to jeopardise our health in a process.I prefer we go natural first,before we engage more medical ways,like surgeries.Which will be discussed in more details in the coming contents.
